Ven. Yifa meets as part of Planning Committee for China's November 2016 Nishan Forum 尼山论坛

On April 22nd, Venerable Yifa, the Founder and President of Woodenfish Foundation, engaged in the ninth session of the organizing committee of the Nishan Forum (尼山论坛) supported by the P.R. China central government. The meeting was chaired by Xu Jialu, a vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and was head of the College of Chinese Language and Culture at Beijing Normal University.

The meeting also included Mr. Gao Suqun, Deputy Director, and Chang Chun-yin, Director of the Beijing Youth Care Education Foundation.

The conference will be held in China in November 2016, and Woodenfish is charged with inviting relevant representatives from religious, academic, and United Nations backgrounds from the United States to participate in the conference to promote dialogue among different nationalities and backgrounds. The primary theme of the conference this year is environmental issues, with sub-sessions on women's issues.

In addition, the conference is also being organized by Mr. Li Zhaoxing, Foreign Minister, Mr. Ye Xiaowen, Deputy Director of the Institute of Chinese Culture, and Ms. Liu Chuanwen, Secretary of Beijing Normal University, Shandong University President Mr. Chang, etc.
